About Monique A. Mitchell

Monique A. Mitchell is a certified full-time dreamer and doer, seamlessly juggling many hats as a communications leader, brand strategist, and public relations professional. With more than 15 years of experience across consulting, media, and entertainment, she brings a unique approach to strategic storytelling, external and internal communications, executive engagement, and reputation management.

She began her career with the prestigious NBC East Coast Page Program in New York City, where she contributed across coveted properties including “Saturday Night Live,” “TODAY,” “30 Rock Live,” Oxygen, and NBC News. She then spent seven years at Cartoon Network, [adult swim], and Boomerang, advancing from communications assistant to publicist while shaping media narratives and supporting high-profile programming launches including “Steven Universe,” “Adventure Time,” “The Powerpuff Girls,” and “Craig of the Creek.”

Monique later joined Warner Bros. Discovery’s Equity & Inclusion team as a marketing and communications manager, where she played a key role in elevating inclusive storytelling and corporate visibility. During her time, she launched digital editorial platforms, led communications for enterprise-wide E+I initiatives, managed media and community partnerships, and developed internal campaigns tied to cultural milestones.

She went on to serve as franchise manager at 9 Story Media Group, where she led communications and brand strategy for global children’s content, including Netflix’s “Karma’s World” (executive produced by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges), “Dee & Friends in Oz,” and “Lu & the Bally Bunch” (BBC/Cartoon Network).

Most recently, Monique served as South Region Reach & Engagement Communications – External Relations lead at McKinsey & Company. In this role, she advised Office Managing Partners and senior leaders across six major U.S. markets on executive engagement strategy, regional positioning, and high-impact communications. She planned  more than 21 executive forums and curated high-touch experiences convening over 500 C-suite leaders, while managing $1.75M in regional engagement investments tied to global moments such as Formula 1, the FIFA World Cup 2026, and the PGA Championship. Her work contributed to media placements in Fortune, Politico, The Miami Herald, and regional Business Journals, strengthening McKinsey’s visibility and influence across key markets.

A proud graduate of Florida A&M University, Monique was named to FAMU’s 40 Under 40 list in 2024 as a prominent alumna and HBCU Buzz’s Top 30 Under 30 Class of 2020, recognizing outstanding alumni making an impact across industries and communities.
